What makes you want more?

Sure, we all want nice tight bods with a perky butt and a flat stomach! But I have come to find out in my years of training; myself and clients, that there has to be more than just the desire to LOOK physically fit.
Don't get me wrong, that is a great motivator. But what happens once you achieve this goal? Do you quit?!
Unfortunately, some do. All that hard work goes to waste, their weight sky rockets back to where it was and they are back to square one. Is that what you want to happen?! UM, I doubt it!
So lets keep these things in mind while we are training:

1. Instead of focusing and stressing over the numbers on the scale take bi-weekly photos in the same bikini or sports bra (front, back and side), guys if you wear a sports bra you might scare me! lol- and chuck that scale out the door!

2. Again, stop worrying about your weight. Instead worry about how hard you can push yourself in your workouts this week: a few more reps before setting that bar down, a few clicks faster on your 200 meter run, using the 16kg KB on all of your swings, getting over your fear of the 20 in box. If you train hard, you are going to eventually LOOK like you train hard!

3. "Train Hard" not only means in the gym, but in the kitchen! You are what you eat! So like I said before: If you train hard you are going to eventually LOOK like you train hard! And remember, these things don't happen over night. So religiously do #1, #2 and of course #3 and be proud of your accomplishments in the gym (new weight records, getting faster, tackling the box jumps, ext....) And you will reach those goals!!!

4. Make a list of motivators other than a nice tight bod with a perky butt and flat tummy. And post it to your fridge! Because on days when you want to eat half of a cake and you decide you don't really care anymore about a flat tummy, your list might make you say "oh yea!" and help you to only eat TWO BITES of the cakes, or better yet, none at all :)

To give you some ideas on #4, here is my list of some of my motivators that keep me going:
1. I feel more energetic and healthy on the inside when I eat healthy.
2. bad carbs give me BAD stomach aches.
3. I love the feeling of being stronger than most people my age.
4. I know that by working out and eating right I am adding years onto my life.
5. I want to be a great role model to my friends, family and to my children (when that time comes).

I want to see EVERYONES list on your last day this week so Thursday or Friday. So make an extra copy for me!! Its going UP in the gym!!!!!!!!
