Name: Ruby Christodonte
Occupation: Knowledge Management Consultant, Mother, Wife, Graduate Student, CrossFitter, and Coach
A Little Bio:
Ruby was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC….yes, she’s an Army brat. Now, she lives in Chesapeake with her husband, children, and their pets (2 dogs, 2 cats). She fell in love with Crossfit in last year and her love for it grows more with every WOD. Currently, she is a graduate student working on her MBA.
Ruby’s journey to a healthier and active lifestyle began the day she realized her clothes didn’t fit and her health was declining. Before CrossFit, she tried every “workout DVD” and bought every useless piece of equipment found on those late-night “infomercials.” She even had an unexplained illness that couldn’t be diagnosed for two years. After feeling helpless and wanting to take the easy way out—liposuction—she gave CrossFit a shot. After meeting Coach Jackie and Drew, and “FIGHT GONE BAD” (her first WOD), she was hooked! Now, she’s never felt better; her health has improved dramatically; and her self-confidence is through the roof. Her new mantra: “change is possible if you are willing to invest the time, sweat, and effort to achieve your goals. Whatever you do, don’t lose sight of you.”
