I am a Virginia Beach native…rare in this Military community.  My mother is Scottish and my step dad is German, which I think explains why I didn’t participate in sports as a kid; the focus was to get an education.  So, I consider my competitive nature a bit guarded until I was in my 20’s.  I have been running for years, mainly because it was an easy way to stay in shape.   Additionally, I have always had a “globo” gym membership.  I also LOVE to play golf and have played for 10+ years.  The downside to golf is it take soooo long to play, but it’s a great way to spend time with Matt.  I found out about Crossfit from a coworker who lived in Atlanta about 2 years ago.  I looked for a local affiliate and started at Crossfit Odyssey (now Crossfit Take Over).  I remember thinking to myself when I start Xfit, that if I had discovered this years prior I am not sure what roads my life would have led me…..absolutely love it!!!  I started private sessions with Jackie March 2010, did that for a while….fell off the workout wagon until December 2010.  Since then I have ‘hit it hard and fast’.  I have never been in better shape in my life.  I have transformed my body and I am THRILLED!   I have increased my workouts and changed my diet, and yes I still drink beer but not as much.  In 6 months, I have lost over 13lbs, 10% body fat, 15+ inches….and its all because of Jackie, her encouragement and motivation, (she thinks I like pain, LOL)!  I am so happy to be a part of Crossfit Unrivaled Family!  This is not a phase….this is the rest of my life!!!

Favorite Lift:  Deads ~ 225#

Favorite WOD:  anything with numerous exercises, I get AD,D doing just one thing

Murph ~ 56 mins, next time no band for the pull-ups

Goal:  stop using a band with pull-ups and to Rx one of the ‘girls’ WODs

  1. "Diane" 120lb deads & hand stand holds. 7:57 "Isabel" 50 lbs the first 5 then 45. 16:45 I loved this WOD. Just the thing to get me out of this mood I've been in!
